What can be treated with StarLux IPL Photofacial Rejuvenation?

Pigmented lesions such as sunspots, age spots caused by over exposure to sun and Vascular Lesions such as facial redness and broken capillaries. Continued treatments reduce fine wrinkles and the appearance of large pores. Skin will appear tighter, smooth and youthful.

What areas can be treated?

Most of our clients get treated on the face, neck and chest but all body areas are treatable except directly around the eyes.

How many treatments will I need?

Though you will see improvement in your skin after each Photofacial Rejuvenation treatment, most people see the best results with 5 visits spaced 3-4 weeks a part. A personalized treatment plan is established in your initial consultation.

How long does the treatment take?

Each treatment takes about 30 minutes. Larger areas such as full back can take up to an hour.

How does the treatment feel?

Some of our clients say it feels like tiny elastic bands slapping against the skin. To avoid any discomfort, we provide a topical anesthetic that can be applied 30 minutes prior to treatment.

What results should I expect after treatment?

You will notice pigmented lesions such as sunspots and brown spots becoming noticeably darker in color and vascular lesions such as visible veins will undergo blanching which may cause the surrounding area to appear pinkish. The darkness will slowly fade after about 10-14 days.

Are there any limitations after treatments?

You may resume all normal activity except excess exposure to the sun. We provide each client with SPF 30. Woman can apply make-up immediately after treatment if desired.
