In this article, Dr. Syrus Karsai and colleagues note that a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is the most effective method for modern tattoo removal. However, they also note the drastic difference in performance based on the model of Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that is used, noting that the HOYA ConBio MedLite C6 (the same model we use at Dr. TATTOFF clinics) is significantly more effective for laser tattoo removal than even previous MedLite models from the same company.
