The following is also posted on Dr. Will Kirby’s laser tattoo removal blog: Tattoos located in very vascular areas (like the face, neck, scalp, etc) often respond to laser tattoo removal very well. Here is a picture of a patient of mine who had an ex-lover’s name on the posterior portion of his neck. After just a few laser tattoo removal treatments he was very pleased. If this exact same tattoo was located on a more distal area (foot, hand, ankle, etc) it would take more treatments to remove. It is important to realize that tattoo location has a great deal to do with how fast tattoo ink will disappear.
