It’s important to remember that pain is very personal and everyone experiences it differently. Also, the good news is that there are a number of different means by which we make the process very tolerable: Prior to your treatment, you can numb the area with a high-power topical anesthetic cream mixture. Additionally, at my Dr. TATTOFF clinics, as we treat the area, we cool the overlying skin with our Zimmer Cryo 5 skin cooler, resulting in additional anesthesia. This device is used to minimize pain during laser tattoo removal by providing temporary topical relief. Always ask your clinic if they have a “Zimmer”.
